Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the MetalDetector application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MetalDetector is a utility application that uses your device's built-in magnetometer sensor to detect nearby ferrous (magnetic) metals. The App provides real-time magnetic field strength visualization, audio feedback, haptic alerts, and session recording capabilities.

3. Disclaimer of Accuracy

The App is intended for entertainment and casual hobby use only. You acknowledge and agree that:

• The App is not a professional-grade metal detector and should not be relied upon for professional, industrial, or safety-critical applications
• Detection accuracy depends on your device's magnetometer sensor quality and environmental conditions
• The App can only detect ferrous (magnetic) metals; non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, copper, and aluminum cannot be detected
• Detection range is limited to approximately 5–15 centimeters depending on the metal object's size and composition
• Electromagnetic interference from nearby electronics may affect readings
• The App should not be used for locating underground utilities, pipes, or cables

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional Pro features through in-app purchases:

• Weekly subscription: auto-renews weekly
• Monthly subscription: auto-renews monthly
• Annual subscription: auto-renews yearly
• Lifetime purchase: one-time, non-recurring

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

All purchases are processed through Apple and are subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.

6. Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the property of Mobile Alchemy and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mobile Alchemy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from:

• Reliance on detection results
• Inability to detect specific metals or objects
• Damage to property during metal detection activities
• Trespassing or violation of laws while using the App

9. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Complying with all local laws and regulations while using the App, including trespassing laws and metal detecting regulations
• Obtaining necessary permissions before metal detecting on private or protected land
• Your own safety while conducting metal detection activities

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
